Spring break felt more like Winter break here in Utah. We were so bummed that the weather was so bad, but we were determined to still have fun. Rob took work off for a few days and we had a great time. One day we did the zoo and another day we hit Chuck-E-Cheese. It was a cold spring break, but definitely fun!
This was Jaxson's first trip to the zoo. We bundled him up really well and he did great. He loves being outside and although it was chilly, he was a trooper! He was fascinated with all of the sites and especially loved the monkeys jumping around. (And look at those beautiful blue eyes!!!) We were so excited to see the new baby elephant! When we went last year, I was pregnant with Jaxson and the mommy elephant was pregnant as well. We were really looking forward to coming back this year with our baby Jaxson to see the new baby elephant at the zoo. What a cute baby she is!! (Although we think our baby is much cuter!) On the big scale trying to weigh as much as the baby elephant. Cayden and McKell have a very special relationship. They are best buddies and really love each other so much. I love that they love each other. We got very up close to the giraffes. Ashlee was fascinated by their long black tongues! Our monkeys!! Wow! That is way too similar! Our big papa gorilla! Because of our name, our kids get VERY excited when they see a Peacock. They were absolutely THRILLED to see this Peacock up close and with his feathers in full bloom. Their daddy has taught them a perfect Peacock call and they love it when the Peacock "Yelps" back at them.
"I want to take dance class like McKell! You know, it's REALLY boring just being a NORMAL person!" - Ashlee after McKell's Christmas dance recital
"Mommy, I think you were much better before you got married. You had bangs, you were a little prettier, and you weren't exhausted all the time." - McKell
Mommy, God just told me that Baby Jesus has a new baby brother. His name is Eggroll. - Ashlee
Cayden - "Mommy, I am very concerned that Santa is really you." Mommy "Cayden, you know what happens to kids that don't believe in Santa. They get nothing." Cayden "That's why I said I was CONCERNED, not that I didn't believe!"
"SERIOUSLY!" - Marci's response to just about everything
"Mommy, I really need some 'relastics' for my hair! - Ashlee
"Brothers don't shake hands...Brother's gotta HUG!" - Rob and his dork brother Jon every time they see each other!
"Mommy, I really think it might be easier just to keep a baby in your tummy. She was MUCH easier to take care of in there!" - McKell
