homework

Sometimes I forget to capture the every day little things that we do.
The mundane things that occur every day that we don't even really think about.
One such moment for us is homework each day. I thought I couldn't hate homework any more than when I was in school myself. But now I know that I hate homework SO much more when I am trying to help 3 kids with their homework at the same time. It gets a little chaotic and DI lose patience quickly. But it is all in a day at the Peacock home.

Bowling!

Cayden convinced us that we hadn't been bowling as a family for a long time. So, we headed off to All Star Lanes and went bowling. It worked out well because it was the kids' fundraising day at the bowling alley. As you can see from the score, I didn't do so great. I think I need the bumpers as much as the little kids!

Cayden is quite a good little bowler!
McKell
Even Jaxson got in on the bowling action!
The highlight for me was seeing Sadie bowl for the first time. She was SO excited every time she had her turn. She could hardly wait until it was her turn again!
Sadie loves "give me five...knuckles...bones"
Sadie gets her first strike!
The bowling master!

Ashlee has quite a powerful bowling throw. So powerful, that she landed a ball on one of the bumpers and totally busted it!

Great concentration!

Sadie giving "five...bones...knuckles...yeah!"

Look who's jumping!

We recently got our "Johnny Jumper" out of the basement for Jaxson. None of our other kids have really loved the "Johnny Jumper" but we thought we'd give Jaxson a try. He LOVES it! He loves being in his Johnny Jumper and it didn't take him long to figure out how to spin around and jump and bounce like crazy. Of course, it didn't hurt that his big sissy, Sadie, was jumping right along the side of him to teach him how. Now we just have to keep her from thinking it is a swing. A few days ago I found him literally swinging in the door frame. He thought it was great, as did Sadie. I about had a heart attack. Now he thinks he needs to jump whenever he can. He goes nuts in his exersaucer and makes so much noise jumping in that thing that it is ridiculous. He also loves to "jump" when I hold him on my lap. He's quite a cute little hopper!
Thinking about it....

And now he is JUMPING!!

Getting some jumping tips from his big Sissy, Sadie.

Pretty tired after all that jumping!

Side Note: Speaking of jumping and hopping, I had to mention this. This past week, we let Sadie get in the shower with the big girls. She thought it was great. She did fine until we noticed that she kept jumping in the shower and then back out etc. etc. We got really stern with her and told her to stop. She finally replied, "But I'm hopping in the shower!" Oh dear. We say that all the time, "Hey kids, let's go hop in the shower..." I guess Sadie took it a little more literally than the others. It was pretty darn funny.

Go Utah Jazz!!

As part of Cayden's Jr Jazz registration, he got a pair of tickets for a Jazz game. He was SO excited to get to go see a real NBA game. He wasn't sure who he was going to take - me or Rob. He finally decided on taking his Dad, which I was really happy about. When I asked him why he made that decision, he said to me, "Mom, it's just kinda like a guy thing." Oh boy. My boys had a great time at the game and to make it even better, the Jazz won!!

Sadie was bound and determined that she was going to go with the guys. She wanted her own "Ticket" so Rob gave her his Costco gift card which apparently looked enough like a Jazz ticket to make her happy.

Tubby TIme!!

Jaxson is finally old enough to sit up in the tub. This also means that he is old enough to get to take a bath with big sister, Sadie. I'm not sure who was more excited about this - Sadie or Jaxson! They had a great time and did a whole lot of splashing!!
